Month of Migraines
That's what this has been.  I've had more migraines this month than in the last year.  Relpax, the latest drug is okay, not great.  It takes two hours to work, if it works.  Sometimes at the end of the two hours I take another, and then after four hours total, (and lots of Excedrin and Ibuprofen) my migraine is at least dulled to the point of tolerance.  I'm calling toorrow and asking for the Maxalt.  I don't know why she (my MD) hasn't already tried that one.  It is actually a lower co-pay on BCBS's schedule of drugs.  Not that money matters to me at a time like this.  I'd pay pretty much anything asked to get rid of this pain when I'm in it.

Thank you for the sympathy, I was indeed wallowing in my self pity, and appreciate the thoughts.

Much drugs, and a shower long enough to use all the hot water and make me pruney, and I am a changed person.

my heart goes out to you. Get better soon!!!
Have you tried linking your migraines with specific triggers?
Granted the docs know about as much about migraines as um say dark matter but I have found that I do have some food allergies and other several slight triggers that set me off.

Gah... just hope you feel better soon! Get lots of rest and don't forget to drink massive amounts of water. (Also if you get nausea try sucking on ice chips)

Yes, I do have triggers I know for sure. Usually hormones (always on day two of my period) sometimes sunlight, and sometimes a sinus headache will trigger one. And I have had times before where one "monthly" migraine turned into a cluster/series of them. I think this has been one of those.

Yes, massive water helps (also helps prevent hangovers), and I'd forgotten how effective ice chips (and popsicles) are for nausea. I certainly ate enough of them trying to ease morning sickness, oh so many years ago.

BTW, glad to see your name again. Been wondering what you're up to.
